As part of its ongoing social and environmental initiatives, KAPO organized a hiking trip to Safeen Mountain on April 23, 2025, in the Kurdistan region of Iraq for its dedicated volunteer members. The primary goal of this activity was to raise awareness about the essential role animals play in shaping and sustaining natural ecosystems. During the hike, participants learned about how animals contribute to the balance of nature and the importance of protecting wildlife. In addition to the educational aspect, the trip also served as an opportunity to observe and assess the environmental conditions of local wild animals, with a particular focus on squirrels and various bird species.
