On May 30, 2023, the Kurdistan Animal Protection Organization (KAPO) faced a tragic event when a kennel built to protect vulnerable street dogs in Hawleri Nwe was set on fire by an unknown group. As a result, three dogs lost their lives immediately, and two of the rescued dogs were injured.
Mr. Farman Fadhil, the founder of KAPO, spoke to NRT News about the incident and stressed the organization’s commitment to providing the injured dogs with the best medical care possible. KAPO is dedicated to the welfare of all animals in our community and encourages everyone to stand against cruelty to animals.
